- ➤ The Grand Island Police Department is starting a free SRO Youth Summer Program for sixth graders this week at Barr Middle School — the camp runs from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays and is limited to 40 students — families are urged to apply soon. KSNB
- ➤ Grand Island Parks and Recreation Department now accepts team registrations for the 2025 Grand Island Games, a community event for adults over 18 that features Olympic-style competitions such as sand volleyball, tug-of-war, and pickleball.
