- ➤ Heartland United Way released statistics showing that 2,303 children in Hall, Hamilton, Howard and Merrick Counties received toys from the Toys for Tots drive, with 1,119 families donating toys. Eight local non-profit partners — including The Salvation Army — have since picked up toys to support community programs. Central Nebraska Today
- ➤ St. Mary's Catholic Church held its annual Christmas dinner today in Grand Island, serving 650 meals as part of a 30-year tradition to bring community members together. Organizers delivered 250 meals while serving 400 at the event to help ensure no one is alone this holiday. KSNB
