- ➤ St. Leo’s Catholic Church hosted its 13th annual Craft and Soup Supper on Saturday and Sunday to raise funds for a youth mission trip to Montana. The fundraiser offered crafts, soups, and snacks to help high school students prepare for community service. KSNB
- ➤ Voting opens Tuesday (for the Grand Island Christmas Light Contest) to decide the winner chosen from five finalists selected from 16 homes displaying their holiday lights. KSNB
- ➤ EPIC Discovery Center completed construction and received keys as it shifts to exhibit installation for its spring 2026 opening. The center reached 83 percent of its fundraising goal and seeks community donations, pledges, and building tours to reach 90 percent by year-end. Central Nebraska Today

- ➤ Grand Island voters can cast one vote by email online or at the tourism office for Sculpture Walk Railside, which displays 13 temporary sculptures by artists from across the country. - ➤ The Omaha Symphony will perform at the GISH auditorium at 3 p.m. on December 21 + residents in Grand Island can look forward to an engaging afternoon of classical music. KSNB

- ➤ Christopher Keane, a 2023 NCTA graduate working at the Nebraska Department of Transportation, visited campus Tuesday, Dec. 16 to share his career journey as an automotive and diesel mechanic with students.
