- ➤ A revised plan for the Aquatics Center at Veteran’s Village features a 10-lane pool, diving well, warm water therapy pool with a splash pad (for kids), and seating for 400 at around $25 million. - ➤ Trinity United Methodist Church has revived its annual Live Nativity and Soup Supper after a break of five years due to COVID-19 (which halted events). The revived tradition now welcomes community members to gather in Grand Island. KSNB

- ➤ Grand Island Pickleball Club president Karen Johnson says Woodsonia Real Estate’s revised Good Life District plan omits dedicated indoor pickleball courts for the planned Sports Complex (City Council will discuss the proposal Dec. 9) and players say the temporary multi-use setup limits play (current venues lack clear court markings). - ➤ Nebraska hired San Diego State defensive coordinator Rob Aurich on a three-year deal after firing John Butler. He led a defense that ranked fifth in scoring (allowing 12.6 ppg) and previously coached at Idaho, aiming to boost the Cornhuskers’ performance. KSNB
