- ➤ Stonebridge Wealth Systems thanked Fosters Family Foods and Compass for helping deliver Thanksgiving baskets to families in need — the effort provided boxes complete with meals, including 15 in Kearney and 10 in Grand Island. - ➤ Local4 reported that Hastings Museum will move its Kool-Aid exhibit to the second floor — it will close on Jan. 1st before reopening on the first weekend in March — while Grand Island kicked off the holiday season with Railside Christmas tree lighting last Friday. The report also recalled a Nov. 23rd, 1906 plea for cornhuskers, a Nov. 22nd, 1983 premiere of Terms of Endearment, and Project Hunger’s Thanksgiving Food Drive. KSNB

SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ After a tough loss to Penn State last week, Coach Matt Rhule said the Huskers will get ready to face the Iowa Hawkeyes on Black Friday at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln with an 11 a.m. kickoff. He said the team will honor 19 seniors during the game—stressing that their focus on the field will be key to their win. KSNB
- ➤ The Nebraska School Activities Association will end the fall sports season at Memorial Stadium with four state football championship games—Monday features a Class B game between Waverly and Gretna East while Tuesday brings three contests: Wahoo faces Sidney at 10:15 a.m. in Class C-1, Grand Island Central Catholic meets Bishop Neumann at 2:45 p.m. in Class C-2, and later Millard South takes on Papillion-La Vista South.
