  • Hot Meals USA provided free meals to Trinity United Methodist Church members after Stewardship Sunday services on Nov. 16—I confirmed the event offered a meal service immediately following the church service.  KSNB
  • Hot Meals USA provided free meals on Sunday afternoon to Trinity United Methodist Church members after their Stewardship Sunday services in Grand Island — a gesture to thank the church for its ongoing support, and the group's leader said they plan to serve the community again at Christmas in Kearney.  KSNB
  • Yesterday, American Legion Riders Post 53 honored 13 (veterans) at Heritage at Sagewood assisted living facility in Grand Island as part of a new program to recognize those who served. The group presented commemorative dog tags and thank-you cards to show their gratitude.  KSNB

SPORTS NEWS

  • No. 2 Nebraska wrestling lost its matches at the National Duals in Tulsa when it fell 33 to 3 to No. 4 Ohio State and 33 to 6 to No. 5 Oklahoma State and finished fourth among 16 teams. The Cornhuskers will next wrestle on Dec. 5 at the Journeyman Duals in St. Charles—facing Brown at 6 p.m. and Missouri at 8 p.m.  Central Nebraska Today
  • Nebraska football will play a primetime game against Penn State in State College on November 22; the Huskers will kickoff at 6:00 p.m. CT (7:00 p.m. ET) on First Alert 6 after their bye week.  KSNB
  • The No. 1 Nebraska volleyball team swept No. 17 USC 25-13, 25-16, 25-20 in Los Angeles on Sunday—marking its 21st sweep in 26 wins this season. Five players reached eight or more kills as the Huskers led the Big Ten race and will clinch the regular season championship with a home win against Iowa on Thursday.  Central Nebraska Today
