- ➤ Nebraska center Rienk Mast recorded his third triple-double in school history with 18 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists as the Cornhuskers beat Florida International 96—66 at Pinnacle Bank Arena Saturday. He joined Cam Mack and Dalano Banton as the only Huskers with a triple-double while the team will face Maryland-Eastern Shore Tuesday at 7 p.m. Central Nebraska Today
- ➤ Grand Island Central Catholic beat Fremont Bergan 31-14 Friday night at Memorial Stadium to advance to the state football playoff semifinals for the first time in 42 years. The Crusaders will host Ord next Friday as senior quarterback Grayson Sack led a ground attack that totaled 262 rushing yards. Central Nebraska Today
- ➤ No. 1 Nebraska volleyball swept No. 22 Minnesota 25-15, 25-21, 25-20 on Saturday in Minneapolis—improving their record to 24-0 and winning 15 straight matches—and will play UCLA Friday at 8 p.m. with pregame coverage at 7 p.m. Central Nebraska Today
- ➤ On Saturday, Nebraska Football beat UCLA 28-21 in Pasadena after holding off a late push, with Emmett Johnson gaining 114 yards and two touchdowns and freshman quarterback TJ Lateef completing six passes for 119 yards in the first half. KSNB
- ➤ Emmett Johnson led Nebraska to a 28-21 victory over UCLA on Saturday in Pasadena with 129 rushing yards, 103 receiving yards and three touchdowns. His record-setting play— the first time a Husker running back reached 100 yards in both rushing and receiving— helped secure the win and sets Nebraska up to face Penn State on Nov. 22.
