- ➤ At the GIPS Volleyball Showcase, eighth-grade teams from Barr, Walnut and Westridge played at the Walnut gym and traded jerseys with Grand Island Senior High while donating items to Hope Harbor as a pink out to honor breast cancer awareness—an event that helped build bonds—and prepared for a future as they merge into one team. - ➤ Nebraska middle blocker Andi Jackson earned Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week honors after posting 10 blocks and 13 kills in sweeps over Michigan State and Michigan—supporting her team’s strong defensive play.
