- ➤ VenuWorks Presents will host Lonestar and guest Collin Raye at the Heartland Events Center on Dec. 13 at 7:30 p.m. for a holiday show featuring country hits and festive classics—tickets go on sale Friday, Oct. 3 at 10 a.m. Central Nebraska Today

- ➤ USDA will issue a second Emergency Commodity Assistance Program payment to eligible producers for the 2024 crop year in Nebraska as part of a $10 billion aid effort—this new payment equals 14% of the gross amount and will be made automatically to those who received an initial payment to help manage rising costs and falling prices. - ➤ Attorney General Mike Hilgers sent cease & desist letters to every retail store selling synthetic THC products in Nebraska to stop deceptive labeling and unsafe trade practices by requiring a signed Assurance of Voluntary Compliance; his office said it will file lawsuits and seek penalties if compliance is not met and that its investigation uncovered sales of marijuana and psilocin.
