- ➤ An 80-year-old Grand Island woman was scammed out of $140,000 after clicking a pop-up link that posed as Microsoft Fraud Protection and instructed her to send crypto funds, and a fraudster later came to her door to pick up a shoebox of cash—she then reported the scam to police. KSNB

- ➤ The Nebraska Alliance for Thriving Communities urged Congress to update old immigration laws that leave long-time community members vulnerable—Darcy Tromanhauser from Nebraska Appleseed said the changes would help families and different kinds of workers as baby boomers retire.
