- ➤ Fairgoers at the Nebraska State Fair can save money on Bobbie’s Bargain Book, which is on sale for $5 until Aug. 21 via online orders or at the Building Box Office—offering more than $1,500 in coupons. The book will be sold for $8 from Aug. 22 to Sept. 1, giving visitors another chance to stretch their dollars throughout the fair. Central Nebraska Today

- ➤ Northwest High School in Grand Island will present The Addams Family musical from Aug. 14—17, where a teen cast brings dark humor and fresh twists to classic characters. Vocal music teacher Jeff Vyhlidal co-directs the show with his wife Kari to highlight family themes and a fun stage experience. The Grand Island Independent

- ➤ The U.S. Small Business Administration continues to run its in-person disaster loan outreach center in Grand Island — it will remain open through August. The Grand Island Independent
- ➤ The Nebraska DMV will open its new Grand Island Service Center at 3529 S. Locust St. on Wednesday, August 20 in Hall County where customers will be served from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The old location at 121 S. Pine St. will end driver license services on August 15. Central Nebraska Today
- ➤ The Hall County Sheriff’s Office received a $9,900 grant from the NDOT Highway Safety Office to join the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Campaign, which will run from Aug. 16 to Sept. 1. The deputies plan to cut impaired driving in Grand Island+ they hope the effort will lower crash numbers. Central Nebraska Today
