  • Local grocery stores in small Nebraska towns have lost customers as Dollar General has expanded into these areas—Oakland's Nelson’s Food Pride has seen its business drop due to slim profit margins and higher costs.   • A 22-year-old man was stabbed in southeast Grand Island on Sunday at 3:42 a.m. near South Eddy Street & Windolph Avenue and is in serious condition at a local hospital as police continue investigating the nonrandom attack.  KSNB

  • The Nebraska Medical Cannabis Commission is racing to set licensing rules for the growth and distribution of medical cannabis before the October 1 deadline. It will meet today at 1 p.m. to review rule updates and host a public comment session — details remain unclear.  Nebraska TV
