- ➤ Nelson Produce Farm hosted its annual Watermelon Festival where guests from across Nebraska enjoyed watermelon-themed activities and relief from the heat—continuing a local tradition of celebrating summer produce. The Grand Island Independent
- ➤ The Heartland Events Center hosted its first Shop & Skate Craft Vendor Show— a two-day event that ended on Sunday where residents skated on the main floor and shopped a variety of homemade goods on the second floor. Executive director Kyle Tarwater said 25 vendors participated and he plans to adjust the event to attract more visitors in the future. KSNB
