- ➤ The 2025 Cornhusker State Games shooting sports events kicked off on July 10 in Grand Island and are being held — for the first time at Heartland Public Shooting Park — with 600 participants in nine events. The games will run until July 20 and follow an October 2024 agreement between Nebraska Council and Grand Island Tourism that made the park the new home for shooting sports. KSNB
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ ALS in the Heartland held its 19th Tri-Cities Area Walk at Suck’s Lake in Grand Island on Sunday to raise funds and awareness for families affected by ALS. The non-profit plans additional events—its Wine & Beer Event in August and Northeast Area Walk in September—to support those living with the disease. KSNB
