  • Friends of Grand Island Parks held a ribbon-cutting for the new Stolley Park Garden makeover on Sunday with help from the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce. The garden honors 75 years of the Hornady family's service and was paid for with volunteer work, donations, and grants + community gifts.  KSNB
  • Juniors from across the U.S. will come to Grand Island for the National Junior Shorthorn Show starting June 25 at Fonner Park, where 523 young exhibitors and 1,194 cattle will compete in 19 contests over three days. The event will offer hands-on learning in cattle care—using cold water and big fans to keep the animals cool—and provide scholarships to 10 exhibitors.  KSNB

  • Local officials warned that a fake rezoning fee email is circulating in Grand Island and urged residents to verify any messages with government offices—emails promoting the fee are not valid.  KSNB
