- ➤ The City of Grand Island announced a nearly $16 million renovation at Island Oasis Water Park that will add a leisure pool, splash pad, putt-putt golf and upgrades to the wave pool and restrooms. The project, which has not seen major updates since 2002 (guests say it was long overdue) and is expected to finish next summer (according to Todd McCoy, Parks and Recreation Director), will offer new fun for local visitors. - ➤ A Grand Island man, Eulisis Martin, 20, was charged in federal court after he allegedly threw a Molotov cocktail near an ICE building at 703 S. Webb Rd on June 9—security cameras captured a light-colored sedan and a suspect in dark clothes, and license plate records linked the vehicle to him—leading to his arrest. Central Nebraska Today
