Island Oasis Water Park announced new lazy river walking and lap swimming sessions for community members to start every Friday beginning June 20 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. — guests pay $5 per person unless they hold a season pass — and only participants aged 16 or older are allowed.

Federal investigators executed a search warrant in Grand Island on Monday, June 16th as part of an ongoing investigation involving immigration — local police managed traffic control at two sites, and no arrests were reported.

Grand Island police vehicles arrived at Pump and Pantry (northwest of Highway 281 and Capital Ave) on June 16 to arrest a person wanted for a felony and search for one or two additional suspects; FBI agents and Homeland Security members were present but left after four minutes when the suspect was not located.
