- ➤ Island Oasis Water Park announced new lazy river walking and lap swimming sessions for community members to start every Friday beginning June 20 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. — guests pay $5 per person unless they hold a season pass — and only participants aged 16 or older are allowed. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Federal investigators executed a search warrant in Grand Island on Monday, June 16th as part of an ongoing investigation involving immigration — local police managed traffic control at two sites, and no arrests were reported. KSNB
- ➤ Grand Island police vehicles arrived at Pump and Pantry (northwest of Highway 281 and Capital Ave) on June 16 to arrest a person wanted for a felony and search for one or two additional suspects; FBI agents and Homeland Security members were present but left after four minutes when the suspect was not located. Central Nebraska Today

- ➤ Lincoln Elementary School will upgrade its gym, classrooms, and commons area with safer flooring—using cushioned gym floor, rubber-based commons, and new carpeting—funded by $239,000 from the district's Special Building Fund and set to complete by school start in August. KSNB

- ➤ Since 71% of voters supported legalizing medical cannabis, state officials set up a Medical Cannabis Commission to write rules that will let patients access treatment.
