EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ EPIC Discovery Center will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1:00 p.m. June 5 at 2900 W. Old Potash Highway & offer free viewings from 2 to 4 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. that day, with additional public access on June 6 and 7. Central Nebraska Today
- ➤ Central Community College earned a STARS Gold rating from AASHE for improvements in campus engagement, academics and operations. The college reduced waste, expanded clean energy use and supported student research — steps that placed it among the top five associate colleges for sustainability achievements. KSNB

- ➤ Alabama defeated Nebraska 5-1 on Saturday night at Devon Park in the Women’s College World Series — the tournament runs through June 5 and keeps teams in the winner’s bracket. KSNB
