- ➤ Stuhr Museum will unveil the renovated Robert Taylor House and store on Saturday—dedication starts at 1 p.m. and visitors can explore the restored site until 5 p.m., with the $1.25 million project adding a new HVAC system and a statue honoring Taylor’s legacy. The Grand Island Independent

- ➤ Amanda Woodward, a technical sciences teacher at Lincoln North Star High School, was named the 2025 Advisor of the Year by Nebraska SkillsUSA during the spring conference—she was surprised when a Grand Island student announced her win while she sat with her students. Her leadership in launching the Aviation and Technical Education Focus Program helped her chapter earn a gold medal in the Chapter Excellence Program. Nebraska TV

- ➤ Today, Nebraska Cancer Specialists is offering a free drive-thru breakfast for cancer survivors from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. at CHI Health St. Francis Cancer Center in Grand Island and CHI Health Good Samaritan Cancer Center in Kearney — survivors can enjoy breakfast sandwiches and receive a swag bag. - ➤ The Big Ten Conference announced Nebraska football’s kickoff times and TV channels for six fall games, including the season opener on Aug. 28 on ESPN and the home opener on Sept. 6 on BTN.
