After 20 weeks of mentoring and prototyping, four innovators from the Nebraska Innovation Fellowship presented robotics projects to tackle challenges in agriculture, ranching and healthcare at a showcase hosted by Nebraska Innovation Studio—participants received $2,500 in material credits, equipment access and expert coaching to build and test their ideas. The program’s success has set the stage for future cohorts and additional support to sustain local technological innovation.

Grand Island Central Catholic honored many students with scholarship awards for achievements in academics, fine arts, business and extracurricular activities — winners include Thomas Armstrong, Axel Escalante Lopez, Molly Graybill and others.

The awards come from partners like Creighton University, UNK, UNL and UNO.
