- ➤ The Nebraska Court of Appeals upheld Austin Kelly’s 18 to 38‑year sentence for his role in the Fonner Park incident—where Todd Scherer died from a fatal head injury after being struck with a baseball bat and suffering a bullet wound—rejecting Kelly’s claims of ineffective counsel.
