- ➤ Recent data from the U.S. Drought Monitor (published Thursday) shows 55% of Nebraska is in extreme drought, with 2% in exceptional drought mainly west of Grand Island, and officials call on residents to conserve water. The Grand Island Independent
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Nebraska meteorologist Kent Boughton said Monday his chemotherapy did not work and his stage 4 cancer had spread. He will begin 10 days of whole-brain radiation therapy in Omaha Wednesday. KSNB
