- ➤ April marked the least snowy season on record in Kearney with 6.6 inches of snowfall and beneficial rainfall amid ongoing drought, while Grand Island logged 9.9 inches (its fourth least snowy season) with slightly below normal rainfall. Central Nebraska Today

- ➤ Attorney General Mike Hilgers said a $7.4 billion settlement with Purdue Pharma and the Sackler family became effective Friday, giving Nebraska nearly $19.7 million for addiction treatment and recovery + transferring Purdue’s manufacturing operations to Knoa Pharma LLC with limits on opioid diversion.
