- ➤ The Grand Island Public Library is moving ahead with plans to purchase a new bookmobile that will serve as a mobile branch, expanding library access to local neighborhoods soon. KSNB
- ➤ Grand Island Public Library is close to buying a new bookmobile to serve residents, and Trinity United Methodist Church recently hosted its first Easter potluck + hundreds enjoyed daVinci’s annual Easter lunch on 11th and G Streets. KSNB
- ➤ Crews began replacing the surface on Monday at Pirnie Playground in Ryder Park (work is set to continue through this week) to improve play conditions. The Grand Island Independent
- ➤ The Grand Island Kennel Club will host All Breed Dog Show, Obedience and Rally Trials at Pinnacle Bank Expo Center, Fonner Park from May 8-10. Doors open 8 a.m. on May 9 and 10 (judging begins at 8:30 a.m., $5 admission for adults, free for children 12 and under). Central Nebraska Today

- ➤ The Price Is Right Live is coming to Heartland Events Center Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. (tickets go on sale Friday, April 10) and local residents can join the interactive stage show to play games and win prizes including appliances, electronics, vacations, and a new car. Central Nebraska Today

- ➤ Nebraska’s legislature will hold a final reading of LB 748 today to expand trade school access + the bill aims to offer more career training options. KSNB
- ➤ Grand Island was named one of 20 finalists for the All-American City Award (National Civic League), making it the only Nebraska city on the list. The winners will be announced on June 28 in Denver as the finalists prepare an in-person presentation. Central Nebraska Today
