- ➤ The Grand Island Public Library will hold National Library Week from April 6 to April 12 to show how it connects people with books and ideas. - ➤ Scott Mazour, a retired principal with decades of experience, has been named Programming Development Manager at EPIC Discovery Center in Grand Island. He will gather feedback from kids and parents and help design new STEAM exhibits as the center prepares to open in early 2026 — meeting a local need for hands-on learning. KSNB
- ➤ The One Room, One Teacher program honors Nebraska educators like Nora Van Pelt Lindner who gained her teaching passion in one-room schools and is now recognized with a plaque in the UNK College of Education Atrium; the program accepts nominations until May 15. - ➤ Attorney General Mike Hilgers announced his office will send cease — desist letters to stores in Grand Island and Kearney that sell illegal synthetic THC products following a multi — agency investigation that found mislabelled products.
