Y102 raised a record $383,642 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital during its two-day telethon on March 26–27 in Kearney — NRG Media Central Nebraska staff led by Scotty O and Lisa Williams managed the event.
The fundraiser continued the station’s long-standing support for children’s care.

Central Community College has opened a 12,500-sqft Welding Technology Building on campus to expand its welding program for area businesses.
The new facility (designed to boost local skills) will offer advanced training opportunities.

Nebraska football will host its Spring Game at Memorial Stadium on Oct.
11. The scrimmage marks the debut for newcomers including quarterback Anthony Colandrea and will air on Big Ten Network at 6+10 p.m.
