- ➤ Y102’s 24 Hours of Hope radiothon wrapped up today and raised over $360,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital—exceeding the previous record by nearly $40K—and uniting volunteers and families with a message of hope, sponsors said. - ➤ On March 26, a multi-agency operation in central Nebraska arrested eight individuals on federal drug charges (five more people were arrested on state charges) as federal and local law enforcement worked together. Central Nebraska Today

- ➤ The Grand Island Central Catholic Speech Team won the NSAA Class C1 State Championship on March 27 by earning 102 points at Kearney High School—the school's first state win. - ➤ Walnut Middle School hosted an in-school rock concert as part of the 'Funding the Future' Financial Literacy Tour in its gym where more than 770 students learned about saving and spending—valuable skills for their future. - ➤ The Nebraska Legislature voted unanimously on March 26th to support Nebraska Game and Parks plan to add Camp Augustine to the state park system — the proposal includes new hiking trails, river access and campgrounds as part of Mormon Island State Recreation Area.
