- ➤ Y102’s 24 Hours of Hope radiothon wrapped up today and raised over $360,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital—exceeding the previous record by nearly $40K—and uniting volunteers and families with a message of hope, sponsors said. - ➤ The Grand Island Central Catholic Speech Team won the NSAA Class C1 State Championship on March 27 by earning 102 points at Kearney High School—the school's first state win. - ➤ Walnut Middle School hosted an in-school rock concert as part of the 'Funding the Future' Financial Literacy Tour in its gym where more than 770 students learned about saving and spending—valuable skills for their future. - ➤ The Nebraska Legislature voted unanimously on March 26th to support Nebraska Game and Parks plan to add Camp Augustine to the state park system — the proposal includes new hiking trails, river access and campgrounds as part of Mormon Island State Recreation Area.
