- ➤ On March 21, Grand Island police arrested Jon Ostermeier for first degree sexual assault after a 40-year-old woman reported being assaulted while unconscious at her residence on March 16 — he also faces felony stalking and three counts of violating a protection order and will have a hearing on April 23 at 10 a.m. Central Nebraska Today
- ➤ Grand Island police say a man allegedly resisted arrest and injured a police officer during an encounter in the city, and authorities are investigating the incident. The Grand Island Independent

- ➤ Starr Elementary fourth grade class invited YouTube personality CJ Luckey to speak today as he shared how the power of yet helps students overcome challenges in class. Luckey—CAPS founder—added he will return later and visit other local elementary schools. Nebraska TV

- ➤ Grand Island Utilities sent five lineworkers to Fremont on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. to help restore power after the March 19 blizzard, and the team is expected to remain through today — providing essential support in storm recovery — in the area. Central Nebraska Today

- ➤ Mark Hibdon's horse Drivehappy edged Arthurian by a nose to win the six-furlong $20,000 Tondi Stakes at Fonner Park on March 22nd—riding with Victor Bailon for his first win on the horse.
