- ➤ Fifteen semis loaded with over 500 bales of hay left Oakland Monday morning (7 a.m.) to help ranchers in wildfire-hit western Nebraska. They plan to drop off the hay in Gothenburg after passing through Fremont, Grand Island, and Interstate 80. KSNB
- ➤ Grand Island Parks and Recreation has released the 2026 Summer Activity Guide that details summer camps, the return of the Stolley Park Railroad, a park concert series, and Grand Island Games set for late July (paper copies are available at the office from March 30). Central Nebraska Today
- ➤ Vintageleaf Boutique hosted its first annual Spring Vendor market in Grand Island on Mar. 23, where local small businesses gathered. A 35-year-old man was hospitalized after being hit by a train, and several grassfires were reported along I-80. KSNB

- ➤ Nebraska’s Severe Weather Awareness Week is held from March 23 to 27, and the National Weather Service advises residents to stay alert for severe storms, tornadoes, and lightning (key risks include flash flooding, too).
