ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On Sunday, firefighters were called to an out-of-control burn near Chapman Road—Highway 281 as the fire threatened an occupied structure; Chapman Volunteer Fire & Rescue and St. Libory Fire and Rescue worked for about one hour to control the flames and manage hotspots. KSNB
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Nebraska State Patrol is using a $20,172 grant to add troopers on the roads during the St. Patrick's Day holiday weekend from March 15 to March 17. Extra troopers work overtime on their regular days off to help keep roads safe as people celebrate — more patrols mean extra safety on the road. KSNB
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The No. 21 Nebraska softball team lost 12-6 to the Ohio State Buckeyes on Sunday in Columbus—Ohio State won the weekend series. Nebraska now holds a 20-8 record and will host Minnesota for its first conference series from March 21 to 23. KSNB
