- ➤ Nebraska lawmakers advanced a bill last Thursday that would require drivers to display one license plate starting in 2029. The measure could save up to $14 million for drivers and cut about 200 tons of aluminum use—similar to actions taken by 26 other states and it advanced with a 38-0 vote for further debate. - ➤ Troopers from the Nebraska State Patrol will patrol the roads from March 15 through March 17 during St. Patrick’s Day festivities to check for impaired driving and help keep Grand Island safe. The patrols are part of a nationwide effort — officials urge drivers who drink to plan for a sober ride — and a $20,172 DOT grant supports the action. Central Nebraska Today
- ➤ The Nebraska Supreme Court ruled the civil lawsuit between AMC and Woodsonia must return to Hall County District Court for dismissal—both lower courts lacked jurisdiction over the title dispute.
