- ➤ Three high school seniors, including Cal Seip from Grand Island, were named Omaha World-Herald and Kearney Hub Scholars to join UNK Honors Program this fall. The full-ride scholarship covers tuition, room and board, fees and books and comes after a competitive selection from 153 applicants. Central Nebraska Today

- ➤ South Locust Street construction enters phase two of a $9 million road project as crews work on water main reconstruction, a new roundabout, and full road shutdown — the work will ease local traffic and improve the area’s infrastructure. KSNB
