- ➤ The spouse of Adriana Alvarez, who died in an October 2023 explosion at Hornady Manufacturing, has filed a wrongful death lawsuit, citing flawed safety procedures and demanding monetary damages. KSNB
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A Grand Island woman pleaded not guilty to charges including second-degree assault and terroristic threats, with a trial set for July after being accused of physically abusing a person and threatening their life. KSNB

- ➤ The City Council is discussing the creation of an entertainment district that would allow for downtown events without the use of fences. KSNB
- ➤ Police Chief Kevin Denney reported to the Grand Island City Council that the crime rate has decreased by 14.4% in 2024, with plans to further decrease crime by increasing officer numbers to 102 by 2027 and enhancing community engagement. Central Nebraska Today
