- ➤ The Grand Island Public Library partners with local first responder agencies to launch First Responder Storytime, a weekly interactive session for families starting Saturday, Feb. 21 at 9:30 a.m. Children will enjoy readings and themed coloring activities while connecting with public safety personnel in a free community event. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Nebraska lawmakers are reviewing LB 1034 that would require judicial warrants for federal immigration enforcement in schools to provide clearer guidelines for administrators and families. Sen. George Dungan introduced the bill in the Education Committee on Tuesday — a move aimed at increasing legal scrutiny. KSNB
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Local4 partnered with the American Red Cross for a blood drive held Tuesday across four sites that recorded 74 donations. Grand Island contributed 16 donors while other locations added to the total, and organizers noted that even a mild winter calls for community support + continuous donations. KSNB
