  • A new survey from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln shows Nebraskans feel more positive about the state’s direction than the nation; however, fewer than half believe either is on track as opinions vary by age and party.  Nebraska TV

  • Omaha native Taryn Smith became the first American woman to row solo across the Atlantic, completing about 3,000 miles in 46 days, 3 hours and 37 minutes — the feat occurred in the World's Toughest Row challenge.  KSNB
  • Tri-City Storm defenseman Bode Laylin was named USHL Defenseman of the Week after earning five points in two games against Chicago, marking his second weekly honor in three weeks. The team will host the U.S. National Team Development Program Under-17 team Friday at Viaero Center.  Nebraska TV
