- ➤ Grand Island Little Theatre’s 'The Big FIVE-OH!' comedy by Brian Mitchell opens tonight at College Park Auditorium with additional performances later in February. Tickets are $17 for adults + $12 for students, available at the box office or online. Central Nebraska Today
- ➤ The Crane Trust Nature and Visitor Center is hosting a potluck and speaker series on cranes, beginning with a meal at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 10 and a presentation at 7 p.m. at the center (located just south of the Alda Interstate 80 interchange). Central Nebraska Today

- ➤ The Adams County Spelling Bee took place on Feb. 6 at Adams Central Elementary School with over 100 students from 13 local schools competing — igniting community pride in academic excellence. KSNB
- ➤ Grand Island Public Schools will conduct a reunification drill on Thursday, Feb. 12 in partnership with local police, fire, and emergency services to practice safely returning students to authorized guardians after an evacuation. - ➤ Nebraska Siege introduced new head football coach Dominic Bramante at Dick's Sporting Goods in Grand Island. Bramante, who formerly led the Duke City Gladiators (a nod to his community roots), is set to hold tryouts in March and April as the team prepares for season games including a matchup against the Memphis Hound Dogs.
