EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Central Community College reported a 4.2% increase in enrollment for spring with 6,624 students, 1,830 on campus and 4,797 online. The college serves students at centers in Grand Island and nearby areas. Nebraska TV
- ➤ Gov. Pillen signed a proclamation on school choice week to offer every child better educational options. Sen. - ➤ The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission issued ice fishing safety guidelines advising anglers to check for at least 4 inches of clear ice and wear life jackets and ice cleats for added safety. The advisory also recommends fishing with others and avoiding alcohol to reduce hypothermia risks. Nebraska TV
- ➤ Nebraska DHHS is urging women to get Pap tests and talk with their healthcare providers about the HPV vaccine this month. The Every Woman Matters program offers cost assistance for screenings to eligible women. Nebraska TV
